LENDING LIBRARY A lending library for SBUF is being launched. Marilyn Doty is the organizer and will troubleshoot as needed. On the last Sunday of October, there appeared a rolling library cart with books currently gleaned from members’ own libraries. In the back of each book is a card where the name and date will be written, and placed in the wooden box on the cart. When returning a book, cross off name and date and place in the envelope at the back.
If you wish to offer your books for loaning, please stamp or write you name inside the front. The envelope and rotating card will be handled by Marilyn. Please take care of the borrowed books and return them for others to enjoy.
From Marilyn, our trusty
librarian: Our library need to grow in
books and borrowers. If there are books
not there, but desired, please leave a note in the little wooden box. Shall I put
novels??? What kind do you like?
Quotations offered from Les Berg:
“Resolve to keep happy and your joy shall form an invincible host against difficulty.”
“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.” Both from Helen Keller
