Glass
Some
people see a glass With some water in it and say, “Oh yes, that glass is half
full!” Some people see a glass
With some water in it and say, “Oh no, that glass is half empty!”
I
hope that I am one of the People who is always able to Look at each of my
glasses and See them as at least half full.
That’s very important in life, Because if you live feeling like Your
glass is half empty, well, It may as well be empty all the way.

SUNDAY PROGRAMS
May 4 - WRIGHT OR WRONG Come and watch a brief portion of the Bill Moyer’s interview with with Jeremiah Wright who retired from being minister at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago where Barack Obama attended services. You can see Rev. Wright speak his own words. That was last Friday, April 25. Since then, Rev. Wright has been busy. Why? And to what end? Penny Hendricks presents this program. John Simpson will lead the discussion and moderate.
May 11 - LIVING GREEN
Our speaker Kathleen Jacecko will
present a power point program which
deals with toxicity and making our
lives toxic free. Kathleen is
involved with an organization called Teaching
Green and that is what she does. Come and meet Kathleen and discuss all aspects of making
greener choices. Les Berg will
moderate.
May 18 - SO WHAT’S THE DEAL ABOUT RACE, ANYWAY?
Barack Obama made the speech of his life about race in Philadelphia a few
weeks back and the OpEd pages and TV pundits went wild.
Everything from “ been there, done that” to how do we go about this?
Can Anglo and African-American people talk to each other?
What are the buried dimensions of the problem anyway that makes this so
difficult? Come and hear Rev.
Jim Conn as he shares some remarks, some confessions and opens this up
for your sharing. Jim
was previously minister of a Methodist church in Santa Monica and was
once mayor of that city. Several years ago he was Theme
Speaker at PSWIRL at DeBenneville Pines.
