                                         SUNDAY PROGRAMS

June 5 -   VERSATILE VERSE    A sharing of words which delight, challenge, and otherwise animate us.  Come to share your treasured poems, or come to listen - all goodwill is appreciated.  Moderator: Lorna McClellan

June 12 – HOBBLING IS HUMBLING ---a questioning of personal identity beliefs as a means to develop genuine compassion for ourselves.  Our speaker Barbara Reinhart will discuss some impressive neuro-scientific research about educational innovations that focus on children’s brain development.  She is also enheartened  by the gifted scientist Stephen Hawking’s advice:   “Concentrate on what you do well and not regret what physical disability interferes with.”  Barbara Reinhart is a gifted therapist and teacher and was a member of this fellowship.  She is a longtime Unitarian (with Buddhist ways).  Penny Hendricks will moderate.

June 19 –  REMEMBERING FATHERS    How did your father affect the person you are today?  Did he have particular traits or talents or mannerisms or ….?  If you are a father, what is it that  means the most to you as you relate to your children?  Come and get to know each other better.  Penny Hendricks will lead the program.

June 26 –  “EINSTEIN’S SPACE AND VAN GOGH’S SKY”   It is a reflecting on and deconstruction of William Blake’s admonition: “May God us keep / From Single Vision and Newton’s Sleep.”  Reverend Emeritus Ernie Pipes will present this program.  Reverend Pipes has been minister of the Santa Monica Unitarian Church and has been an involved social activist in the community   Moderator will be announced.
