                                         SUNDAY PROGRAMS

December 4 – BEING UNITARIAN—WHAT IS THE APPEAL?     This is a continuation from a May program.    There are Seven Principles and Promises which are generally agreed on  by our membership as valued and worth our support.

December 9 – CHANUKAH begins tonight and the first of the candles will be lit to celebrate this joyous holiday.  Come and hear the Chanukah story and the traditions and histories of the menorah, the draydel, gift giving, and foods eaten at this time.   Linda Klein will lead the celebration.

December 16 – TIS THE SEASON  Often we learn more about ourselves and each other by sharing stories, thoughts, or personal history.  Come to share memories of the holidays or a poem or reading or something you care about.  Penny presents program.

December 23 – THE HIDDEN TRUTHS BEHIND CHRISTMAS   There is more to Christmas than the familiar Biblical stories.  Christmas renews our need for human connections.  Our good friend Reverend Emeritus Ernie Pipes will share his ideas and point of view.  Come and remember your special connections.  Bob Johnson will moderate.

December 30 – THINKING BACK AND LOOKING FORWARD    So we can ask ourselves:  what was the best part about the year 2012?  On a personal level, do you have a change in mind for yourself (perhaps a resolution to start in the New Year?) Come and celebrate the New Year.

January 6 – HOLIDAY PARTY AND POTLUCK    It is time for the annual Fellowship and friends potluck and white elephant party.  (NO MEETING IN MATHEWS COTTAGE)   Join the fellowship at Bob and Linda’s at 3:30 pm.  Please RSVP to let them know what “kind of pot” you will be bringing.  Please bring a wrapped white elephant to play the gift game after dinner.
