PROGRAMS
September 1
– NO MEETING TODAY. Enjoy your weekend!
September 8 –
WAR IS NOT HEALTHY FOR CHILDREN AND OTHER LIVING THINGS Think
about what you have seen; what you have heard; what you have read. How do
you feel and how you would vote if it really were up to you. Penny
Hendricks will moderate.
September 15 –
ANNUAL FELLOWSHIP BRUNCH Come to the Alpine Village Inn for a
great buffet. We will meet inside the restaurant by 11:30 a.m. and go into
the Emerald Room. The cost will be $15 per person. Penny will
collect the checks--made out to South Bay Unitarian Fellowship (or SBUF).
If you have any questions, call Penny. If for some reason you cannot come, let
her know. The restaurant needs a head count!
September 22 –
WHO SAID IT: JESUS, BUDDHA, KRISHNA, OR LAO TSU? Was it all of
the above, or none of the above? The answer may surprise you.
Meron Castain will present and lead this program.
September 29 – WHY NOT NOW? An assemblage of animation, childhood and early photographs, video and audio recordings of Alan Watts. The DVD was put together by Alan’s oldest son Mark Watts who is currently working to create a library of his father’s works. Lloyd Drum brings us this program and will moderate. If you don’t know who Alan Watts is, come and find out.
