                                               SUNDAY PROGRAMS   

 

December 7 – INCURABLE DISEASES ARE NOT AS INCURABLE AS YOU THINK. Our guest speaker will share her presentation Back to the Future of Nutrition Part 1 based on Dr Wahls incredible journey to find that an optimal nutrient diet reversed her progressive secondary multiple sclerosis while drugs did not.  This is a game changer in nutrition!  Bob Johnson will be Moderator. 

December 14 –  VISITING NEBRASKA AND IOWA WITH FRIENDSHIP FORCE  by Peter Landecker.  A group of ambassadors from the Friendship Force Los Angeles visited homes in Lincoln, Nebraska and Des Moines, Iowa.  Peter was the leader or Exchange Director of this "Exchange". We made many new friends there and saw many interesting places in the mid-West.  Peter will share his experiences and illustrate them with images he captured.  Lorna McClellan will moderate. 

December 21 – SHARING HOLIDAY MEMORIES   What is it that lifts your spirits?   What bothers you about the Christmas season? Do you have a favorite Christmas song?  Let’s sing along. 

December 28 – THE FUTURE OF GOD -   We will view a tape presented by KCET of Deepak Chopra and discuss our personal “take” about what he  has to say. Penny Hendricks will moderate.   

January 4 – CHANGING THE WORLD   If you could change the world, what would you change?  How would you change? 

January 11 – HOLIDAY PARTY AND POTLUCK ---- More information in the next Newsletter.

*******Attention: For Openers and Refreshment Persons  *********************

Openers arrive at 10:30 a.m., unlock doors, cabinet, put out sign, start water, put on tablecloths, make the coffee, start the water, set-up cups, etc. for the refreshments.  Please display the fellowship candle on the circular table. Place the Guest Book, name tags, and offering basket on the long table. 

Refreshments need to arrive by 11:00 a.m.  Please arrange a trade if you cannot attend or clean up on the day assigned.  When you bring refreshments, it is your turn to be responsible for the clean up of the entire refreshment table including the coffee water and supplies.  If you need help, just ask.  By the way, thank you very much!

December 14 – THE CONCERT SINGERS  PERFORM  Classics meet Modern in UPON A MIDNIGHT CLEAR Pre-concert lecture is at 3:15    Concert begins at 4:00 p.m.

At the Westchester United Methodist Church, 8065 Emerson Avenue in L.A.

Tickets are a suggested donation of $15 in advance or at the door with canned goods.

How do I become a member of the South Bay Unitarian Fellowship?  Membership is open to all persons 15 years of age or older who sign a membership card expressing agreement with the purpose of the Fellowship.  Members become eligible to vote and hold office three months after signing membership cards.  Members are expected to participate in SBUF activities and to provide a helping hand and financial support when needed and are able to do so.  

 

SBUF Programs   If there is a particular topic you would like to see presented on a Sunday morning, or an organization you want to know more about, or a good book you would like to share, or any other ideas for Sunday morning programs, please call Penny Hendricks. Your input is valuable!  Thank you for your help.
