                                               SUNDAY PROGRAMS

October 4 – IN THE NEWS AND ON YOUR MIND  Let’s talk about it with Carol Simpson.  Here is another chance to express your concerns or ideas about whatever it is.  Carol will moderate.

October 11 – “DO NO HARM”  from Hippocrates.  What if a patient believes the treatment to keep them alive is more harmful than death?  Being told she would likely die in a medically induced coma after losing her faculties is what prompted Brittany Maynard to move to Portland, Oregon.  Having a choice at the end of life is a very valid argument, says Dr. Daniel Mirda, but we’re never taught anywhere how  really kill someone.  Penny will moderate.

October 18 – WAKING UP  a guide to Spirituality without Religion.  This is a new book by Sam Harris  Lloyd Drum brings us this taped interview.  Lloyd is a longtime friend to the fellowship and has been a good source for programs.  Lloyd attends the Santa Monica Unitarian Church.

October 25 – GOING INSIDE WITH BONNIE   As a psychotherapist Bonnie Folkart has been teaching meditation to clients because of her firm belief in the benefits of meditation to health.  Bonnie will be providing an introduction to meditation techniques.
