                                               SUNDAY PROGRAMS

June 5 – WHAT WILL BE ON YOUR MIND ON JUNE 7th?  Bring your Ballot and we can talk about concerns you may have as you consider the choices.  Penny Hendricks will lead the discussion.

June 12 – CARBON FARMING AS THE NEW AGRICULTURE  At the December, 2015 Paris Climate Conference it was said: “soil carbon is now central to how the world manages climate change.” “What we eat links environmental to human health.” Nature, 2014.  We eat primarily monoculture grains and cheap CAFO meat.  As a result up to 70% of the world’s soil carbon has been lost to the atmosphere.  This presentation describes how it has, and continues to happen, and how some savvy US farmers are sequestering carbon back into soil, producing very nutritious food and making a profit.   Joy brings us this program.

June 19 – THE STATE OF SURVEILLANCE, A DOCUMENTARY, 2016  Shane Smith meets with Edward Snowden to discuss government surveillance.  This program was produced on the HBO series  VICE (Taped in Russia).

June 26 – TRANSYLVANIA AND EASTERN EUROPE    Unitarianism started in Transylvania, now a part of Romania and including Dracula's Castle. In April and May 2016, Peter Landecker visited this part of the world for a month, and will relate his experiences. He will share some visual images he took on this trip, which included a river cruise up the Danube to Budapest as well as another river cruise from Berlin to Prague. He visited Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Hungary, Germany, Czech Republic, and the Netherlands.
