“Justice is what love sounds like when it speaks in public."     Michael Eric Dyson

                                               SUNDAY PROGRAMS

March 5 – No program due to illness.

March 12 – Prepared program (see April 2) overrun by “joys and concerns” discussion.

March 19 – Michael Eric Dyson - Tears We Cannot Stop: A Sermon to White America  Michael E. Tyson with Thom Hartmann discussing his new book.  Dyson desperately wants his readers to confront the sources of violence in our nation's longstanding culture of white supremacy. But he also knows how many political arguments and sociological studies have fallen on deaf ears. And so rather than a treatise, Tears We Cannot Stop is a fiery sermon, and an unabashedly emotional, personal appeal.  Chuck Hendricks is moderator.

March 26 US health care: An outlier, where profit - not solidarity - is the driver  This discussion will focus on why our de facto health care system costs 40% more/capita ($3.2 trillion/annum)  than the next costliest with increasingly poor health outcomes. Current healthcare issues/changes are on the table for discussion.  Joy will present and lead the discussion.

April 2 – BILL MAHER WITH OTHERS   A pleasant conservative, Jeffrey Lord, defends Trump.  A real conservative, Charlie Sykes, worries about Trump.  Joy Reid and Rosa Brooks, liberals, keep things in line.  Finally, environmentalist, Bill McKibben, is received by audience as a rock star.  After listening to Dr. McKibben, it is hard to disagree with the audience. Brought to you by Penny Hendricks.  What do you think?
