                                               SUNDAY PROGRAMS   

 

March 4 – NUCLEAR FEARS. The latest TIME Magazine front page title was “Making America Nuclear Again”. Peter will lead a discussion about the dangers and risks associated with nuclear weapons. 

 

March 11 – WRESTLING WITH FEAR AND ANGER.  UU Rev. Jon Dobrer will be our wrestling coach. 

 

March 18 – UPDATE ON HEALTHCARE - Since the Nov 2017 – “Healthcare is Rigged Against You” presentation, healthcare it is even more “Rigged" How how about an ER Rabies shot for over S10,000?  Or, did you know that specialists can easily get paid for an unnecessary test/procedure while primary physician’s burnout is increasing?  Do you know how dysfunction our defacto, fragmented, and extraordinarily costly health care really is?  Joy presents this update. 

 

March 25 – Another Real Time with Bill Maher.  This program from March 3.  This panel included students from Parkland Florida, David Hogg and Cameron Kasky.  Other panel members are Eric Holder, Jon Meacham, and Author Amy Chau.

    *****ATTENTION: For Openers and Refreshment persons:  *********************

OPENERS arrive at 10:30 a.m., unlock doors, cabinet, put out signs, put on tablecloths, make the coffee, start water, set up cups, coffee, etc. for the refreshments.  Please display the fellowship candle on the circular table.  Place the Guest Book, name tags, and offering basket on the long table.

REFRESHMENTS need to arrive by 11:00 a.m.  Please arrange a trade if you cannot attend or clean up on the day assigned.  When you bring refreshments, it is your turn to be responsible for the clean up of the entire refreshment table including the coffee, water, tablecloths and supplies.  If you need help, just ask.

If you cannot bring refreshments on the date listed in the newsletter, you may call someone and trade with them for another date that will be more convenient for you.

How do I become a member of the South Bay Unitarian Fellowship?  Membership is open to all persons 15 years of age or older who sign a membership card expressing agreement with the purpose of the Fellowship.  Members become eligible to vote and hold office three months after signing membership cards.  Members are expected to participate in SBUF activities and to provide a helping hand and financial support when needed and are able to do so.  

 

SBUF Programs   If there is a particular topic you would like to see presented on a Sunday morning, or an organization you want to know more about, or a good book you would like to share, or any other ideas for Sunday morning programs, please call Penny Hendricks. Your input is valuable!  Thank you for your help.
