                                               SUNDAY PROGRAMS

September 2 –NO PROGRAM TODAY.  BUILDING UNDER REPAIR.

September 9 REAL TIME WITH BILL MAYER  Bill interviews documentary filmmaker Jack Bryan whose new movie “Active Measures” comes out this weekend.  The documentary is about the involvement of the Russian mob in US politics.  Actor Jim Carrey joins the panel near the end.  Bill’s panel consists of political strategist David Axelrod; columnist Michelle Goldberg; and former Rep. Charlie Dent (R-Pa.)...  Penny will moderate.

September 16 – REAL TIME WITH BILL MAYER  Bill interviews former U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry; former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer joins the group at the end.  Steve is full of energy. The panel consists of counterterrorism expert Richard Clarke; political commentator S.E. Cupp; and journalist Mark Leibovich.  Penny will moderate

September 23 – Let us talk about Brett Kavanaugh.  This is a bad, bad nominee. We knew that from an ideological perspective already. Now we know it because this is a guy who will commit perjury to advance his career. He's quite possibly going to get a lifetime appointment on the highest court in the land and his is an out-and-out partisan lawyer who was neck deep in war crimes in his last political job.

September 30 –The Only Important Question. … Jon Dobrer is the speaker today.  Rev. Dobrer, a Starr King and Theological Union graduate, served the UU Church in Fullerton from 1993-2014 retiring in June after 45 years in the ministry.  Jon continues teaching, doing columns for newsgroups, newspapers and writing about our world with wit, insight and candor.  We welcome Jon again.
