                                               SUNDAY PROGRAMS

September 1 –  are we now engaged in a great civil war?  UU Rev. Jon Dobrer, a Starr King and Theological Union graduate, served the UU Church in Fullerton from 1993-2014.  Jon continues teaching, doing columns for newsgroups, newspapers and writing about our world.  We welcome Jon again.  Penny will moderate.

September 8 THIS FELLOWSHIP NEEDS TO HAVE A BUSINESS MEETING. Those who have been coming for a while pretty much know how we do things.  Since there are usually four Sundays in a month we had four different members taking turns with the opening and setting up, making coffee, etc.  Right now there are some openings if you are willing.

September 15 – The first amendment states:  Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. So, what is the problem?

September 22 –  BILL MAHER on September 20, 2019 has a panel discussion with former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and author Samantha Power; human rights activist Sarah Haider; Demos distinguished senior fellow Heather McGhee; author Tim Naftali; New York Magazine writer-at-large Andrew Sullivan.

September 29 –  whistleblower discussion What are we going to do with the “Whistle Blower” transcript and what we learned from the information this week.  We will hear several short excerpts from MSNBC and take time to share our thoughts about what we heard.

October 6 –  Before the Flood presents a riveting account of the dramatic changes now occurring around the world due to climate change—the most pressing challenge of our time.  Michael Bastone is providing the DVD that we will view over several Sundays.

October 13 –  Why can’t we all get along” Rodney King   UU Rev. Jon Dobrer, a Starr King and Theological Union graduate, served the UU Church in Fullerton from 1993-2014.  Jon continues teaching, doing columns for newsgroups, newspapers and writing about our world.  We welcome Jon again.  Penny will moderate.
