                                         SUNDAY PROGRAMS

August 5 – THE LITTLEST ANGELS    How old do you have to be to make a difference?  10?  20?  40?  How about age 4?  Come and hear how these littlest angels made a difference.  If you have a story of your own, please share it with us.  Meron Castain will present this program and will moderate.

August 12 – ETHICS  Where do ethics come from?  Is our behavior determined by what we believe?  Is ethics simply the way we treat people?  Do we need to consider the real-life implications of our beliefs to make our values tangible.  If ethics is just a matter of choice, then there must be a process of choosing to do the “right thing”.  Penny Hendricks will introduce this topic for your discussion.

August 19 - NORTH ATLANTIC ADVENTURE     Peter Landecker and Lenore Snodey went on an exotic cruise starting in London, then going to Norway, the Faroe Islands, the Shetland Islands, Iceland, Greenland, Nova Scotia, and finally ending in New York. History, culture, geology and scenic wonders will be discussed. Peter will show some of the beautiful and interesting pictures he captured.  Lenore will moderate.

August 26 – FLIGHT INTO THE FAMILIAR:  Distractions As Strategies To Avoid Emotional Pain.  Our guest speaker Barbara Rinehart will propose effective ways to release ourselves from such habitual, but unreliable, escape patterns.  Barbara is a former member of SBUF, currently living in Seal Beach.  She is a therapist, teacher, and a sensitive workshop leader.  She is a lifelong Unitarian (with Buddhist ways).  The moderator will be announced.
