PROGRAMS
June 8 – WHO IS
EDWARD SNOWDEN? We will watch a recent interview of Edward
Snowden telling in his own words, who he is and why he acted as he has.
What actions have been taken for change? What do you think about it--
Is he a “whistle blower” or a traitor? Discussion. Penny
presents the tape.
June 15 – HAPPY
FATHERS DAY Remembering our parents and parenting. Come
share a memory from your past that involved your dad or being a dad.
June 22 –
BUDDHA AND THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT Do fundamentalist
Christians have the right to define Christianity? If not, why not get the
definition from Buddhism? Dee Masters will present this program.
June 29 – Centennial
of the Assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand Joe
Mancin will share the background and talk about the consequences. The
event referred to as the first shot of World War I.
July 6 -
POTLUCK, PARTY, AND GENERAL MEETING Come to Bob and Linda’s for a
Fellowship Potluck. Starting time: 3:00 p.m.
Please call Linda and let her know you are coming and what dish you are
bringing for dinner. Bob is not cooking this time, so main dishes as well
as salads, vegetables, or desserts will be appreciated. A brief general
meeting will be held. (NO MEETING AT MATHEWS COTTAGE)

For Openers and Refreshment Persons

Openers arrive at 10:30 a.m., unlock doors, cabinet, put out sign, start water, put on tablecloths, make the coffee, start the water, set-up cups, etc. for the refreshments. Please display the fellowship candle on the circular table. Place the Guest Book, name tags, and offering basket on the long table.
Refreshments need to arrive by 11:00 a.m. Please arrange a trade if you cannot attend or clean up on the day assigned. When you bring refreshments, it is your turn to be responsible for the clean up of the entire refreshment table including the coffee water and supplies. If you need help, just ask. By the way, thank you very much!

How
do I become a member of the South Bay Unitarian Fellowship?
Membership is open to all persons
15 years of age or older who
sign a membership card expressing agreement with the purpose of the Fellowship.
Members become eligible to vote and hold office three months after
signing membership cards. Members are expected to participate in SBUF activities and to
provide a helping hand and financial support when needed and are able to do so.
